Claire Peate is an award winning scriptwriter and novelist.
She is on the BAFTA Connect career development programme and has previously won BAFTA Rocliffe (film), as well as a BBC short film competition.
Her feature THE COLOUR ROOM was released in cinemas in 2021, and is streamed by Sky Cinema/ NOW TV. Her second feature THE LAST INVASION is funded by Ffilm Cymru and is in pre production.
She has four novels published, has been nominated for Wales Book of the Year, was twice WHSmith’s pick of the week in Wales, and has spoken at the Hay Festival.
She is represented by Ciara Finan at CURTIS BROWN (novels) and Andrew Mills at REVOLUTION TALENT (TV/ film).

Just watched The Colour Room, my grandad Joseph Woolliscroft was one of the moulders for Clarice Cliff. He was spoken about in the book ‘ The Art of Bizarre ‘.

Just watched the film. Brilliant. Born and bred in Stoke. My grandfather was one of four who set up in the Michelin Factory in 1926, so you could say Stoke is in my blood. Thank you for bringing a bit of Stoke my living room in Kent. I am now homesick!!
