Broadcast on BBC2 in the autumn, and available on iPlayer, my short The Graduation won the People’s Choice Award which is arguably what it’s all about isn’t it?
It’s is a roadmovie set in the wilderness with a disfunctional family having to come together to save themselves.
It was easy to write “middle of nowhere” but a lot harder to film – forty crew lugging equipment up a hillside in a record breaking heatwave (the script said rain but our filming dates were booked). I momentarily felt guilty but then everyone seemed pretty happy so I just applied the factor 50, sat back and enjoyed the filming. Magic.

SCI-FI LONDON 48 HOUR FILM CHALLENGE
I wrote the scripts for these two five minute films for the Sci-fi London 48 Hour Film Challenge. From downloading the title and “rules” for the short we had two days to write, shoot, edit and deliver the finished short.
